Features + Innovation

Patented Unhinged Design

Self-tensioning rear straps on a floating, unhinged design create a tighter seal around the lid's full perimeter. The high efficiency seal prevents cold air from getting out, warm air from getting in, and maximizes the temperature retention of the Unhinged Cooler.

Max Comfort Handles

Form fitted handles are engineered for a comfortable grip whether carried by one person or two. The sturdy handles are the perfect anchor points to tie down the cooler without blocking access to the inside.

Stainless Steel Bottle Opener

Crack open a cold one with a high-quality, stainless steel bottle opener built right into the front of the cooler.

Tapered Walls

Tapered walls maximize insulation where your cooler needs it most so that it could hold ice longer.

Non-Slip Max-Grip Feet

Ultra-grip non-slip feet prevent your cooler from sliding around the boat or the truckbed.

Quick Flow Drain

A quick-flow, leak-proof drain allows you to quickly and easily drain your cooler.

Pressure Regulator

patent-pending pressure regulator, hidden beneath the bottle opener, allows you to easily open the cooler at even at high elevations.

Customizable Badge

Each cooler includes a stainless steel Maluna badge which can be easily changed with any of our compatible specialty badges. Specialty badges sold separately.

  1. Jamie

LOVE IT! This isn’t a cooler…it’s a Maluna! Quality is outstanding. Holds ice for way longer than those other “coolers”. Thermometer drain plug is awesome too! Can’t wait to purchase another one.

  2. Brody Hall

Try to find something that was not already thought of during the design process on this one. Amazing Maluna. Will be purchasing another.

  3. Mark

The cooler is spectacular! It amazing the attention to detail Scott took in designing this cooler. From the double hinge gasket seal to the over all finish. There isn’t an uncleanish or unpolished corner like I have found on comparable brands…..if there is any!

  4. Abraham F. Engholm

These things really do ice the competition. I was about to buy a competetors brand when I saw these. They were new and I thought, well what if. So the wife and I went for it. Kickstarter 1st timers. Now after a month and a half of use. We couldn’t be more pleased. We have 6 kids whose hands are in it getting drinks all the time. It’s nice not having to buy ice all the time. Hats off to Scott Hoyt. Amazing products. Our 40 in seafoam green is on its way.lol

  5. Ken Ward

Awesome cooler! Had it in my car in 106 degree heat all day and the ice didn’t melt at all!

  6. Robin Engholm

Cannot be beat! Our family goes on many fishing and camping trips and normally have to go through bags upon bags of ice. Not with the Maluna! One 22 lb bag gets us through a week in 90 degree temps! Can’t wait for the 40 to get here!

  7. Capt. John Debevec

This by far the best cooler I have used. I have a competitor’s cooler that is no where near the quality nor the ice holding capability as this Maluna. If you are looking for a great cooler at a reasonable price, you found it. In addition, the Unhinged 70 is nearly indistructable.

  8. TJ Geerdes

Quite simply, this thing is a beast! Great for long trips and those remote fishing/hunting trips where running for ice is expensive, time consuming, or both! I am impressed at the ice retention versus a competitor company I own! I am waiting patiently for a 111 (one louder) size for big game hunting trips (hopefully out by fall deer season)! I own a white 40, seafoam green 40, Founder’s 50 (salmon color), and a white 70! Can’t wait to see what other products Maluna and Scott make better at a value price point! Great work, Okole Maluna!

  9. Dusty

For a party we loaded the Maluna 70 with several cases of beer with ice. Even with people constantly getting in it throughout the evening the ice still lasted for the remainder of the weekend. Living in Texas you have to be able to keep things cool in the summer, and my Maluna 70 definitely does that. I wasn’t impressed with my Yeti’s performance, but after using my Maluna I had to order the combo pack. I have recommended Maluna every chance I’ve had. Another plus is how responsive the creator Scott Hoyt has been through the entire Kickstarter campaign. He has stayed on top of the updates and questions. He pays attention to detail and he has created by far the best cooler I’ve used.

  10. Josh

I have used my 70 multiple times now, each time I have had ice in there 5 days after putting 20lbs in and beverages and food. This thing is awesome at keeping everything cold. The lid latches are extremely easy to use, the digital drain plug thermometer woks great and keeps you up to date on the temp in the cooler. And so many other features that make this thing great. I love my Maluna 50 and 70. Will be ordering more in the future.

  11. Donald Hampton

Very impressed by the quality that went into the design of this great product

  12. Bill O’Briant

For the last thirty years I have seen and owned many coolers for fishing. The industry has come a long way in that time. But let me tell you that the future is looking so bright with the Muluna! Just the thought that went into the planning and design is brilliant. If you want a cooler that keeps your supplies COLD for the long haul, look no further!

  13. OG

After a long day in the field, I forgot that I left beer in my Maluna. Checked back a week and a half later and it was still cold. Awesome.
